Here, we cover environmental protection, social welfare and equality. We explore how we can benefit both humanity and other life on the planet, aiming to move towards to a balanced and harmonious lifestyle. 

EXISTENTIAL RISKS

There are a number of events that present a risk to the continued survival of our civilisation and our species. Shocking Grasp aims to evaluate these existential risks so that we, as a society, might be able to avoid these event or mitigate their effects.

In this section we discuss what types of existential risks exist and explore humanity’s options. We also explore whether humanity has already conquered any existential threats.

Our understanding of the world around us is the fundamental aspect on which all development is based on. By monitoring the cutting edge scientific discoveries, we can better understand what technology might be developed tomorrow.

In this section we evaluate novel scientific findings, as well as trends in scientific fields, in the context of how they may affect tomorrow’s society.
